I didn't get the chance to write a real blog entry again today, so I'll just leave ya with a link to a message board that I just joined to discuss Photo Impact, a program that is like Photo Shop and Paint Shop. The All involve digital imaging, so they're pretty much in the same family. Well, here's the link anyways:

Reality 9
True creativity on this site.
Well, I'm still in the process of making changes to the structure of this blog, but there's one main task that I forgot to do today: actually post a blog! So here it is:

I read this article today as posted on the Blogger main page. As I discovered in the past few months, bloggin is getting very popular among many people, which made me decide to begin one of my own. Weblogs are one of the features on the internet that hasn't been taken over comertially. I hope that it stays that way, independent. Can't have everything commertialized on the web. Also, that is why I like what Webzine is doing; keeping aspects of the internet independent.

Ok, things are just about back to where they were originally.
Had to get rid of the link me form, for now. But, here's the button though:

Random Thoughts
This blog is acting so crazy! I can't get the html code right! Had to go back to the original layout for now until I get the chance to fix it, hopefully later today. *ugh*

Not much went on with me this weekend, except for watching for more info about Aaliyah. The service call that I scheduled for Saturday was getiin in the way of other plans that I had. Someone was supposed to drop by between 1:30 and 3:30 in the afternoon; showed up around 3:25. I'm assuming that there were a lot of Road Runner connection problems in the city or something. But as of right now, my cable modem is up and working, it had more to do with the connection outside my house, rather thatn with the modem itself. Someone else is supposed to come out this week to work on the cable line outside, to make sure that its working at high speed like it is supposed to be.

After all of that madness, I went out shopping at Old Navy and Lerner's. I was going to go to some other stores, but I went broke. But I am glad that I did find a few more pair of jeans to go back to school in, including a pair of dress pants! For me, with the way that I'm shaped, its a big deal when I actually come back home with a couple of bags of clothes from the mall. :P
I spent yesterday chilling at home with my parents. Wasn't much else to do, since I was out of $$! But my Dad's birthday was yesterday also. :) It was a peaceful one, nothing much really went on, except that he made dinner *now, that's rare!*

And speaking of back to school (from earlier), Cincinnati Public Schools just started classes today. This is the first time that I can remember that they began on a Monday. It always used to be on a Tuesday when they began. When I was elementary, we started school the Tuesday after Labor Day. Now they begin about a week earlier than that.

Well, that's enough random stuff for now. I'm about to pack up and leave work. I'm glad that summer classes are over, so now all I really have to do is make sure that I get up early enough to make it to work on time.
In memory of a fallen angel:

Photo taken from here.

Here's what I said on insane group babble:
When I woke up early Sunday afternoon, my Mom told me what happened. My jaw dropped. I didn't really believe what she said, it almost didn't seem like it was real. It goes to show you that our lives can be easily taken away from us, so we must live it to ea the fullest every day. Rest in peace Aaliyah.

Here's an article on the BET website.

Also, here is the lyrics to one of my fav songs by her.

On again, off again. I scheduled another service call for Saturday afternoon, I wanted to get one for that morning but they were booked up. I still might have some time to go out Saturday afternoon to the mall to find some clothes hopfully. But I'm pretty sure that it's gonna be crowded, since the elementary and high school students will start classes on Monday. And I can't go out on Sunday, it will be my Dad's birthday. Now that I think about it, my friends b-day is on Saturday! I better give her a call or stop by to visit her! Been busy this summer, it's been difficult to catch up with anyone lately. Things should let up a bit because this is my last day of Psych class and I get to get some more hours in at work for the next few weeks before I resume with full-time classes! :D

I finally got Road Runner working properly again. I was able to get in contact with the online tech support chat *while I had the opportunity this morning* and they told me what to do to fix the connection: completely unplug the modem power. I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope that the connection is up and running when I get home today. But for now, I have a Psych final to be concerned with. I got an 82% on my last exam- I had a good feeling when I got finished with the test in less than 30 minutes. Hopefully I can repeat that same grade, or maybe get a better one! I'll have to pretty much cram the rest of the day in order to get enough study time in. But that's gonna be hard though; Smackdown is gonna be on tonight, and I always happen to miss the first or the last 30 minutes of the show. Decisions, decisions. But in other good news, I finally got my test background working. Look!

Note to self: stop loading 88x33 buttons on page. They're not working again, unless I can't link through msn communities. *grumbles*
Here are some pics of Tangeman being demolished.

Haven't been able to get online all weekend, except for the one time that my cable modem was working, and I checked my email. I'm definately calling that Tech Support hotline as soon as I get home today. But for now, I'll be posting blogs from work or in one of the computer labs on campus. Ugh. On a good note, I did join a blog group today. Click here to check it out.

I had to call Road Runner Tech Support when I got home today. Now I've been scheduled for a service call for tomorrow morning. Hopefully they can fix this blasted cable modem. Right now I'm using the remote access dial-up service that UC offers to its students. It's running hella slow. I got used to the cable modem loading everything so quickly, that it is hard to be patient when a page is loading on a dial up server.
Oops, I'm kinda behind on bloggin this week. Been posting at work, but unable to publish them at home. My Internet connection has been very slow the past few day. It's strange because I have access through a cable modem through Road Runner Online. Maybe I should give them a call today or on Monday to see what's up.

I just got back to the Admin. office, where I work; had to make a delivery to the University Administration office. That's like the most frequent place that I make deliveries to, besides the Payroll office. On my way up there, I saw they were tearing down Tangeman Center. Tangeman was the Student Center (and a popular hangout spot) for UC, until they closed it down after the Winter quarter and moved all of the once-convient offices all around the campus in these funny lookin bubble-like structures. They are making way for this new complex called Mainstreet that will be done by the time I grad from College, like 3-4 years from now...wonderful.

Gotta get back to work now, I guess.

Acts like Summer, Walks like Rain...

If life is like a box of chocolates,
then you're the ewwy coconut filled kind.

I thought that this ^ was funny
Here's the t-shirt that I bought. I thought that the design was cool. I didn't attend the program, but I heard about it on this site here. I would like to design my own t-shirts, not to promote this site *well, maybe*, but mainly just for fun. And to be hella different.

I wanted to turn that Ghetto Supastar image into a screen tee design. It would look great on a plain black tee. I may have to make a visit to my old high school and pay a visit to one of my favorite teachers Ms. Williams. I think that she taught how to create screen tees in one of her art classes, maybe one of the AP level art courses. I don't remember exactly.

Make sure that you visit Webzine too!

Just posted a new topic on the Troubleshooting thread. I hope that someone can help me out with the background image. Soon hopefully.
Ahh! Trying to come up with my own background to replace the silvery template. Here is what I have so far. It's pretty crappy if you ask me. Thank God that the images and blog links are working today. I read on the blogger message boards that the system has been down off and on. That is probably why my images only work some of the time I guess.

Has anyone heard the song "Because I Got High" by some guy named Afroman? I just heard it last night on Kiss 107.1. That's the funniest song that I've heard in a minute! Makes you wonder if he was really high when he wrote the lyrics!
And it's number one on the top ten according to Yahoo:

Top Ten
1. Because I Got High - The Afroman
2. Songs In A Minor - Alicia Keys
3. Songbird - Eva Cassidy
4. O Brother, Where Art Thou? - Original Soundtracks
5. Welcoming Home The Astronauts - Flickerstick
6. Now That's What I Call Music! 7 - Various Artists
7. Three Chord Opera - Neil Diamond
8. Anthology - Alien Ant Farm
9. Three Mo' Tenors - Original Cast
10. Best Of Bread - Bread

STOP THE MADNESS!
I had saw this link a while ago, while I was on this site. It's funny, yet true, like #32:
The background of your pictures are JUNKY ASS HELL with used pads an shit laying around...

I'm guilty for having a junky room. Two of them actually. Here's that pic of the pc room again. Sad but true...

Its been a long week. Lost all kinds of sleep. Had to transfer out of my Psych 103 class that I just began. The senile professor that I had was a bit too sorry for words. Simply, he just couldn't teach; he kept skippin around on material, and I was sittin there all lost, wastin my time, when I could have been somewhere asleep. The same day I was planning on transfering out the class, I woke up sick as a dog, all queasy and mess. Thought that I would never make it out of the house to take care of business; but fortunately, I did.
The day before that (on Tuesday) my Dad got this call from the hospital saying that there was a kidney match for him. I was glad to hear the news *even half-way asleep* that things were finally looking up for my Dad. Later on, I found out that he was unable to go into surgery cuz one of his tests didn't go through. But overall, physically, he's doing great, I'm proud to say. For now, it's back to diaysis treatments for him. He's in great spirits; he's a really strong about the whole situation. I know that his time will come up again and he will be 100% ready. Pray for him ya'll; even if you don't really pray, just wish the best for him.
Things are gonna be ok.
And pretty much, that was my week for ya.

Um, so where in the hell did this weekend go to? Just another weekend that flashed past my eyes. I could have went to my cousin's picnic on Saturday, but sadly, I didn't want to be bothered. My cousin, she just graduated from high school this summer and is headed off to one of the historic black colleges down in Atlanta- Clark Atlanta, I think. I find it kinda funny, my family didn't make a big deal when I graduated from high school in 2000, and from the only college-prep school in the Cincy public school district on top of it all. I really don't have a real reason to be bitter, do I? (With the some of the family members that I have- who needs enemies?!?) Maybe I'm just jealous, and just too damn stubborn to admit to it. Who knows.
Anyways, I have tomorrow to be concerned about- I begin Psychology 103 tomorrow at 9:30 in the morning. It's only a 3 week course like the previous Psych class that I had taken, but I will be glad when this one is over. I'll have a couple to almost 3 weeks to clear my mind before resuming to full time classes. Maybe I can get some things accomplished in those 2-3 weeks, like cleaning my bedroom and cleaning up this junky pc room too. I can be a lazy bum sometimes

Friday is here, a good reason to be happy! Hopefully I can find something to get into this weekend, it feels like my life is missing something. Maybe shopping can fill that void. :)
Yesterday was cool too. I received my internal zip drive in the mail. I thought that I had some space for it, but come to find out, I didn't. Actually took apart the cover of the computer to look inside, with my Dad's help; we were taking a risk, we really didn't know what we were doing. But at least we know now that the zip drive can be sent back. It was worth a shot- now I'm going to buy an external one soon, hopefully in the next week or two. Got more pics to scan.
Its late, and I'm bored. I scanned this pic at work today when things got slow.
